The Western Trust recorded the lowest number of admission for elderly care last year, new data show.

In terms of elderly care the Western Trust had the lowest amount of admissions.

In 2021/22, 23.8 per cent (3,869) of elderly care admissions were in Southern Trust while Western Trust had the fewest, accounting for 13.9 per cent (2,252) of all Elderly Care admissions.

The figures are contained in the Department of Health's newly-published ‘Inpatient & Day Case Activity’ report.
