Roads were closed and a gas supply isolated as firefighters dealt with a ruptured gas main in Derry on Wednesday.

Cordons were put in place at Dale’s Corner as emergency services attended the incident at Bond’s Hill at 10.19am.

Three fire appliances from Crescent Link attended the incident.

A spokesperson for NI Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to reports of a ruptured gas mains. Firefighters isolated the gas supply and handed the scene over to the gas supplier. The incident was dealt with by 11.39am.”
