It may have been a close shave but Derry football club, Tristar Boys have raised more than £3,000 for the Western Health and Social Care Trust after an unique fundraising venture.

With the coronavirus pandemic forcing sports team of all disciplines off the pitch, Tristar decided to use their free time to aid all the frontline heroes in the NHS while still following guidelines over social distancing .

Hence the 'Stay Home and Shave Your Dome' idea was born with coaches, members, parents and guardians, friends and family of the club throwing their flowing locks behind the concept and shaving their heads in the name of charity.
